Better speeds and stability from mobile broadband
Patchy indoor signal? We set up 4G/5G routers, position external MIMO antennas, and tidy Wi-Fi so your connection is fast and reliable — ideal for homes with poor fixed-line service, garden offices and temporary sites.
What we do
- Set up 4G/5G router (APN, bands, carrier aggregation where available)
- Survey for signal quality & antenna placement (RSRP/RSRQ/SINR if exposed)
- Install & aim external MIMO antennas (directional or omni)
- Weatherproof wall/pole mounts, tidy cable runs & penetrations
- Optimise in-home Wi-Fi (SSID, channels, mesh/access points)
- Optional failover & guest network setup
Hardware & options
- 4G LTE / 5G routers (nano-SIM) you supply or we can recommend
- Directional panel/yagi or omni MIMO antennas (2×2 / 4×4 device-dependent)
- Low-loss coax & correct pigtails for your router ports
- Mounting brackets, sealant, grommets & external-grade clips
- Neat internal positioning for best Wi-Fi coverage
Before we visit
- Tell us your preferred network (EE, Three, O2, Vodafone) and your postcode.
- Share the router make/model if you have one and whether it has external antenna ports (SMA/TS-9).
- Note where you’d like the router located and if a garden office/outbuilding needs coverage.
- If possible, have a live SIM with data available for testing.
Notes & limits: Mobile speeds vary by location, network load and weather — we’ll optimise,
but cannot guarantee specific throughput. We don’t work on dangerous roof access or near overhead lines, and we
won’t alter mains electrics. Longer/hidden cable routes or external works may require extra time/parts.
FAQs
If indoor signal is weak or inconsistent, an external MIMO antenna mounted higher and aimed correctly can
significantly improve signal quality and stability. We’ll test first and only fit if it helps.
Directional antennas focus on the strongest mast and often deliver higher SNR; omni antennas are simpler and
can help where reflections or multiple masts are in play. We’ll pick based on your readings and location.
Yes — we drill a neat penetration, use grommets and sealant, and clip the cable externally. We’ll agree the route
beforehand and avoid hidden services as best we can.
Absolutely. We’ll position the router sensibly, adjust channels and SSIDs, and can add access points or mesh nodes
where coverage is poor.
Yes — after checking your signal and needs, we’ll recommend suitable hardware. You can supply it yourself or
we can source it on request.
