Vehicle Repairs & Fault Finding

Minor vehicle repairs and basic diagnostics at your home in Cambridge

Minor fixes and sensible checks — at your driveway

We handle light vehicle jobs and basic fault finding on your driveway or private parking: bulbs, wipers, batteries, dash cams, trim fixes and OBD-II code reads. Clear communication, tidy work, no upsell.

What we can do

  • Headlight/taillight/indicator & interior bulb replacement*
  • Wiper blade fitting & washer jet aim checks
  • 12V battery swaps, terminal clean & basic charging checks
  • OBD-II scan: read/clear codes, note live data (where supported)
  • Dash cam/sat-nav hardwire (12V accessory circuits)**
  • Loose trim, number plates & simple bracket/clip fixes
*Some models require bumper/headlamp removal — we’ll advise feasibility.
**No airbag circuit interference; neat routing with fuse taps where appropriate.

What’s out of scope

  • No brakes, fuel, airbags, timing, clutch or suspension overhauls
  • No high-voltage EV battery work
  • No roadside/emergency attendance
  • No work on the public highway (driveway/private space only)
  • Complex dealer coding or immobiliser programming not included

Before we visit

  • Share make/model/year (and reg if handy) plus symptoms/codes seen.
  • Ensure safe access with space around the vehicle; keep keys and locking wheel nut (if relevant) available.
  • If we’re fitting parts you supply, confirm exact part numbers beforehand.
Notes: We use sensible torque and safe routing. If scans indicate a deeper issue, we’ll explain options and recommend a specialist workshop rather than guesswork.

FAQs

Scans identify stored codes and clues. We can clear and recheck after a short drive. Some faults need workshop diagnostics or parts; we’ll advise transparently.

Yes, or you can supply. We’ll confirm compatibility first to avoid returns, especially for batteries and bulbs.

We can perform basic resets where supported. Manufacturer-specific procedures or coding may require a garage or dealer tool.

Yes — we route cables discreetly, use fuse taps on an accessory circuit, and avoid airbag looms. We’ll demonstrate parking-mode settings if your model supports it.
