Correct placement, tidy fitting, reliable alerts
We install and position smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for homes and small businesses. We use appropriate fixings, test on completion and, where supported, pair wireless interlinked alarms for whole-home alerts. This is a non-emergency handyman service.
What we do
- Mount battery & sealed 10-year alarms (smoke & CO)
- Advise sensible locations and heights
- Pair & test wireless interlinked models (brand-dependent)
- Replace tired units like-for-like (customer-supplied)
- Neat cable clips for plug-in CO detectors (if applicable)
Notes & limits
- No new mains circuits or hard-wired installs
- We don’t issue compliance certificates/EICRs
- High ladder/roofline work not included
- For landlord/regulatory schemes we’ll follow your provided spec
- We can recommend suitable models on request
Before we visit
- Tell us how many smoke and CO alarms you want and the areas/rooms.
- Share brand/model if already purchased (photo of the box helps).
- Let us know ceiling height and if there are any vaulted areas.
- For replacements, a photo of the existing unit and base is useful.
Safety: We fit battery and wireless-interlinked alarms and perform basic functional tests.
If you need new hard-wired circuits or formal certification, we’ll recommend a qualified electrician.
