Jet Washing (Patios & Driveways)

Jet washing patios and driveways in Cambridge

Even, streak-free cleaning for patios, driveways and paths

We provide jet washing for block paving, concrete, slabs and decking — using a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish, then precision lancing on edges and joints. We can optionally re-sand block paving with kiln-dried sand once the surface is dry.

What we clean

  • Block-paved driveways (with optional kiln-dried re-sand)
  • Patio slabs & concrete paths
  • Timber/composite decking (low-pressure care)
  • Garden furniture & small walls (on request)
  • Algae, dirt, light lichen and general grime

How we work

  • Rotary surface cleaner for even results
  • Detail lance on joints, edges and corners
  • Rinse-down of adjacent areas and doors
  • Weed clear and debris tidy
  • Optional: kiln-dried sand re-fill for block paving (weather/ dryness dependent)

Before we visit

  • Confirm outdoor water tap access and a safe power source if needed.
  • Move vehicles and items from the work area where possible.
  • Tell us about loose pointing, wobbly slabs or damaged joints.
  • For block paving re-sand, surface must be fully dry after cleaning (often a separate short visit).
Notes & limits: We avoid aggressive pressure on delicate surfaces (e.g., soft pointing, old tarmac, fragile stone). Chemical treatments and sealing are not included by default; eco-safe cleaners can be used on request. We cannot be responsible for pre-existing defects revealed by cleaning (loose joints, failing mortar, unstable slabs).

FAQs

Most dirt, algae and light lichen will lift. Deep organic staining and black lichen spots may need repeat passes or a suitable cleaner. We’ll advise the best balance between effectiveness and surface safety.

Yes — once the paving is completely dry, we can re-fill with kiln-dried sand. This may be scheduled as a short return visit depending on weather.

We use lower pressure and correct standoff to avoid furring the timber. For composite decking we follow manufacturer guidance and rinse thoroughly.

We work toward available drains and avoid directing silt into beds or storm grates where possible. Heavy silt areas may require additional tidy time.

Sealing isn’t part of the standard service but can be discussed as a separate add-on after the surface is fully dry and clean.
